You never have to leave the terminal to know where your account stands. CPX shows your rules in three places - the account bar, the chart, and the Account rules panel - all updating live while you trade.
The account bar
The strip above the chart tracks the account in real time: Balance, Equity, realized and unrealized P&L, and progress bars for the Profit Target, Daily Loss Limit and Max Loss Limit. The account badge on the left shows which account you are on and its status, and the Daily rollover timer on the right counts down to the daily reset.
On-chart risk monitors
Your Daily Loss Limit and Max Loss Limit are drawn directly on the chart as price levels, alongside any Take Profit or Stop Loss you have set. While a position is open you can see exactly how far price can move before a limit is reached - no mental arithmetic mid-trade. It is risk management at its most transparent: the boundaries that decide your account sit on the same chart as your trade, at all times.
The Account rules panel
Click the rules icon in the account bar to open the Account rules panel. It shows a gauge for each rule that applies to your account - profit target, daily loss, max loss and trading days - with your usage, the dollar amounts, and a status badge for each. Read full rules opens the complete trading rules, and What happens on breach? explains the consequences before you are anywhere near them.
The rules at a glance
- Profit target: 9% of the starting balance (10% with the Extended Drawdown add-on on Signature).
- Daily Loss Limit: 3% of the starting balance (4% with Extended Drawdown on Signature). This is a fixed dollar amount, set from your initial balance for the life of the account - on a $100,000 account it is $3,000 per day, regardless of how your equity grows. It resets at 00:00 UTC each day.
- Max Loss Limit: 6% below the starting balance on Signature (7% with Extended Drawdown); 3% on Booster. Also a fixed dollar boundary.
- Trading days: Signature evaluations need 2 qualifying days; Booster has no minimum.
Fees, slippage and funding all reduce equity, so they count toward the loss limits and against the profit target - another reason the full cost of every fill is shown before you confirm it.
FAQ
When does the Daily Loss Limit reset? At 00:00 UTC. The Daily rollover timer in the account bar counts down to it.
Is the Daily Loss Limit a percentage of my current equity? No. It is a fixed dollar amount - 3% of the account's starting balance - and it stays the same for the life of the account.
What happens if I breach a limit? Open positions are closed and the account is marked as breached. The What happens on breach? link in the Account rules panel and the full trading rules cover the details.
Do I need to check the dashboard for my status? No - the same live status is in the terminal. The dashboard adds deeper analytics, but the rules themselves are always visible in CPX.
